About Dr. Erin Wu
Dr. Erin Wu, O.D. is a transplant to Michigan, originally from a small town in Illinois. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and then attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry for her doctorate. She graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honors fraternity and has now been practicing optometry for over a decade.
Dr. Wu wants everyone to feel welcome, comfortable, and informed when they visit her for an eye exam. She believes that health checks are just as important as finding a new prescription and will do her very best to give you a thorough exam.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wu and her husband love spending time with family, cooking and playing with their two young boys.

Founded by Dr. Leonard Crane in downtown Ferndale, our practice has remained in the same location ever since. In 1972 Dr. Howard Crane, Dr. Leonard Crane’s son, joined the practice and together they built a legacy of trusted eye care that has served thousands of patients over seven decades. Today, Howard’s sons, Jeremy and Andy, are actively involved in the business.
